We are so glad you want to amplify the voices and honoring of children and communities severed through a myriad of federal, state-contracted, private, and religious-affiliated industrial systems.

The Severed Podcast focuses on the “cost of disconnection”, acknowledging the personal and cultural costs of severance inflicted, and the literal profits earned, by the multi-billion dollar adoption and foster care industries. We also highlight the history and continuation of intentional separations across Indigenous, Black, Latine, and other marginalized communities, along with the disproportionate and systematic targeting of women, pregnant persons, mothers, and families experiencing poverty and other forms of vulnerability. Our collective voices lift up all of our individual communities into a coalition towards reclaiming the narrative of severance for profit—and using our voices to speak a future of truth, reconciliation, justice, and preservation into power.
